It has been too long since my last badminton injury...high school? It was always my angle. 1st time on knee.
I literally felt one bone landing on another when I landed on my left foot. Immediately I saw a little popping out on the outside of left knee. I thought I could just shake it off. Well, 5 sec later, I felt the great pain on the popping and had to quit the game. I had difficulty to walk back to the bench.
Friends got me ice. After 20 min, pain didn't subside. Instead it spread to lower leg became unbearable. Friends moved my car to the club front door and helped me into driver seat. I thought I wouldn't feel much pain as long as I didn't use the injured leg. Well, I was wrong. Yes, I have an automatic car.
I chose the day Rajiv left his cell phone at home to get injured, and he chose the day I got injured to forget his cell phone at home. So, I had to wait for Rajiv and kids to come home after soccer practice...an hr! Today I decided to leave the book in the apartment. I was sooooo bored and nothing to read. So, I took out maps and started to read them! Oh, my god!
After x-ray and waiting and waiting, my bones were fine...not dislocated. But w/ all the pain, the urgent care doc referred me to see sports medicine doc which I need to make an appointment on Monday. Hopefully I will get to see one on Monday (yes, hopefully right away). Hopefully I will recover soon and go back to play badminton again in a month or less.
Never know walking w/ crutches is not so easy as I imagine.
PAIN!
